An early look at the price of the newest FPL assets

The season might have just finished, but we are already looking forward to the next season of fantasy premier league. One of the most exciting parts of fantasy football is finding the diamonds in the rough, the mis-priced players and the early season bargains.

We take a look at some of the early signings ahead of the new season and how they might be priced.

Timo Werner

After publicly calling for more attacking options, Frank Lampard has had his wishes met early doors as Chelsea wrapped up a deal for the Red Bull Leipzig striker before the Premier League season ended.

Netting 28 goals and 8 assists in 34 Bundesliga appearances this season, Werner could become a must-have FPL asset even early in the season. Due to his prolific season in the Bundesliga we don’t expect him to be cheap – but he could be essential.

Price Prediction: £10.5m

Hakim Ziyech

Another player Frank has added to his arsenal is Ajax winger Ziyech, taking advantage of his moderate buyout clause. The creative midfield player could become a great creative outlet in Chelsea’s free-flowing attack. With 6 goals and 13 assists this season in just 21 Eredivise appearances Ziyech has put up impressive numbers that could transpire into some serious FPL points.

However, the step up from the Eredivise to the Premier League could take some time for Ziyehc to adapt to. But, his excellent performances in Champions League games may prove he is more than ready for the step up and could be a great differential early on in the season before others catch on to his creative output.

Price Prediction: £8m

Adam Lallana

After becoming a free-agent, Liverpool’s Premier League winning midfielder has taken up the option to join Graham Potter’s seagulls on the south coast. The 32 year old is set to bring top-level experience to a promising Brighton side.

Injuries haven’t been all that kind to Lallana over the years and has left him sidelined for most of the 19/20 PL season, mainly featuring through substitute appearances. Due to this, he hasn’t put up great numbers in terms of goals and assists, grabbing just one of each in his 15 appearances this season. While Lallana could be an interesting addition to the Brighton side, his injury prone nature may make him a risk and a player worth holding off on until he establishes himself in the side.

Price Prediction: £6m
